Race Car Drivers Bucket List

I was lucky to be able to race for 7 years.  I got to drive three different type of cars and drive on 4 different tracks in 2 states.  I was able to finish all but three races that I entered.  I wish it could have been more, but my mom got sick, and dad was more focused on her than going out to the track.  I still dream of getting back into a car again, but in reality my racing days maybe and are over.  So that leaves a bucket list of places that I have always wanted to visit one day,  I will list one more than once because it has two races that I would love to see.  So here is my Racing Bucket List. 1.  Indianpolis 500:  Never wanted to race an open wheeled car, even though a go-cart is the small version of that, but I have always wanted to be there on race day.  To walk through the pits to smell the racing fuel, when all you can hear is the roar of the engines.  To see the trophy with every winners face on it. 2.  The Daytona 500:  Back when my sister worked for NASA (not the

Restless night

Saturday night was not a good night sleep for me.  I went to bed around 11 which for most nights, is an early night for me.  I was hot and could not get any comfort.  Around 2 AM I wake screaming at the top of my lungs, "NOOOOOO!!!!"  I do not know why I said no, but I found myself sleeping across my bed and at the bottom of it as well, and I was all sweaty.  I got and went to the bathroom and went back to sleep. On to dream number two.  I am at work at General Plumbing, doing the normal morning thing, when all of the sudden we get attacked by the Koreans.  Why the Koreans, I don't know.  But they are stopping me from doing my job and I have a machine gun right next to me. So I start shooting them off the roof of the shop.  We get all the plumbers out and go out into the yard and talk about what just happened.  So we decide to close up and find out what is going on.  I go out to get into my truck, and find that it has been blown up, bent like a pretzel.  I find a anoth

Can you Depart Divorce as Friends?

Almost four months down, being divorce.  I thought the divorce was to cure my depression, well, I guess that did not happen.  But it was to make me a better me.  Well I guess in the case of my spirituality, I am closer to God, but I wonder at times if he is really listening.  It seems like he takes a long time to answer my prayers, but hey I understand, he is a busy man. I wonder if I have lost any common friends that me and my wife had.  I mean, I don't hear from a lot of people, but just wondering.  I did not or will not ask anyone to take sides.  I am just wondering, a few weeks back, I sent my Aunt a Birthday Greeting.  But I did it later in the day and my ex bet me to it.  Well she got a response to her well wishes, I received nothing.  Well maybe she is not talking to me because of my father.  Who knows. I was asked if I was mad at my ex because I don't talk to her a lot.  Well no I am not mad, I just a little disappointed that she is dating someone right now, that w

Did you get a hair cut?

So last week I thought it was time for a little change, so I shaved of my goat tee.  I have not had a clean shaving face since 2007. OK, that is not a big change, and I did not see it as one, but I got some interesting reactions when some people saw me for the first time that day. So about once a week I get to pick up my best friends oldest son from school.  I don't mind doing it, me and Jr. have some good talks, that some times last an hour or so after I get him home.   And sometimes we stop for a Coke at Circle K.  Well, I picked him up and the first thing he says, "Oh you got your hair cut."  Then he realized that yes I had cut some hair, but cut off the chin hair.  All he could says is. Bill, No, or Why!"  This was the extent of the conversation all the way to Circle K. The next one to see the change was Dalton, a very straight forward, 9 year old.  He walks up to the truck and say," Oh you got you hair cut."  Then he realizes that the goat tee is

Which look is the best?

Image
So for the first time in 7 years I am clean shaving.  I have always had facial hair since the mid 1990's.  The only time I would shave was when I would have a race.  And that was because I did not want to have to wear fire protection on my face. So what do you think?  What is the best look?  Let me know.
