Life Update 2/28

So about a week ago, I was in the Washington D.C. area.  This was a multi level trip.  It was a business and personal trip.  The business side was to see if I could get any job leads out there, which I did, kind off.  And the personal, was to meet up with someone I had not seen in 23 years.  Someone that I knew on my mission but we really did not talk. One, Heidi Hunt Robinson. When I got to Baltimore.  I first get to see Heidi, sick.  She is so sick that she tells me that I have to drive her home.  OK, I get to drive in a place I never been, across two states!  So that was our first meeting.  The next day we went to the downtown area where she lived.  This was a very old town and has one of those down towns out of a post card or tourist book. We went to an Irish shop (don't know how I made it out of there with out and Crisps or Chocolate) and some thrift stores. The next two days were spent meeting with her family and going to see a movie.  And my last day there was spent exp

Anonymous Internet Post.

I have been using a computer before I was a teenager in the early 80's.  In the 90's I got Prodigy and America Online (AOL) and used there bulletin boards and chat areas, until the late 2000's.  So I have seen a lot of things on the Internet.  The one thing that I noticed right off was the comments that were being made under assumed names or screen names, never ever having to really take responsibility for there comments or actions.  Now you can use the screen name but also post things anonymously. Well over the weekend I got a email saying that I had a comment on my last blog.  I have not posted a lot of blogs the past month or two, so to see a comment made me wonder what any one would be commenting on the blog,  What is still on the SD Card in the Camera! .  When I read the comment that said, "your a douche bag", I was kind of shocked. Shocked, but I did not think that the topic was really that offencive, and I did not name any names, but I would love too

What is still on the SD Card in the Camera!

It is interesting to see what we hang on to.  I have had my camera at my friends house since the move, and decided that I need to clean out the SD card.  Over the past 5 years I have taken a lot of pictures.  From person; trips, funerals, and family reunions, to business, weddings, Christmas Card photos, and for my church calling. The oldest thing I had on this card was a wedding that I did for my ex-wife's friend on Dec 31, 2012.  Over 200 pictures and some of them were not even worth printing.  It took me a few months to get everything edited, because when I started, Kim's father had just gone into the hospital with heart problems, which turned into him have heart surgery, to not recovering, to dying 2 a month and half later.  All this time I am working on building up my business, fighting with my dad and spending countless hours at the hospital. The worst thing is a new bride who wants her pictures, but does not understand that you have a whole different life than takin

Should we not know there name as well?

In my reading of the Book of Mormon, I have come across something that I have always wondered about.  No, this is nothing that is going to shake the foundation of the church or cause me to leave the church.  But as I have been reading about Lehi's family, I have come across one thing that bothers me.  We know that Lehi's wife's name is Sariah, but that is it. In 1 Nephi 16 Lehi sons finally marry, and in verse 7, Nephi takes a wife.  But what was her name.  Then in 2 Nephi 5:6 we find this out: 6  Wherefore, it came to pass that I, Nephi, did take my family, and also  a Zoram  and his family, and Sam, mine elder brother and his family, and Jacob and Joseph, my younger brethren, and also my sisters, and all those who would go with me. And all those who would go with me were those who believed in the  b warnings  and the revelations of God; wherefore, they did hearken unto my words. Nephi had sisters.  Why did it take 2 Nephi 5 to learn this.  Have I always read the firs
