Getting Back to Writing

I hope to write a little more in the next few days and weeks.  I kind of took a break from writing, because a few people did not like how dark and depression some of my blogs were.  I had forgot what this was about.  This was more for me then anyone else.  I have tried to make this somewhat interactive at times, but do not get many or no response.

7 Years!

A few days ago, I was reminded that I started this blog 7 years ago.  It started out as a place I could relieve the pressure I was feeling in my head.  It was a suggestion from my friend Gary.   I have shared a lot about me, and still have a lot to share.  I have seen a lot of changes in that 7 years.  So here are a few. This blog was started out in one of the tough times in my life.  I was getting divorced, losing  the house and losing the business that I had started with my dad.  Things did not get better for me until October 2014, when I finally got the job with the Airlines and found a good place to live.   Got really sick in 2016, and was out of work for two months.  When I finally went home dragging an oxygen tank around.  It took a lot of hard work, but I was able to get off the oxygen 6 months later.   After 23 years I started dating again, which was hard.  I found a few women that I reall...

Finished Reading the Book of Mormon

I guess that I am some what a religious person, but that being said, I am also Mormon which most people know.  I guess I do not hide it very well.  But today I have to announce that I finished reading the Book of Mormon.  You are saying big deal, right.  Well, it is for me, because I have not read it in almost 24 years. This major piece of my churches cannon, I have not read it in such a long time. The reason is pretty simple, laziness.  I did not see any reason for it.  I am not a reader as it is anyway.  But for me, it was like, why read something that I have been reading since seminary and my mission.  I was not taken a break from it, but just did not see the point.  I knew what it said, I believe it, and I knew I would be called in at church to read selected verses from it from time to time, and that is all I needed. It is amazing that as I read, how the things I was reading, applied to what I was learning in Sunday school class. ...

Vacations: Cousins Reunion.

     The Ramsay Family Reunion Oct 9. 2010, Monticello, Utah     Charles Whipple and Bill Close, Sr. The Date had been set for the Ramsay Cousin Reunion for October 9, 2010 in Monticello, Utah.  This was the first reunion for the family since the 1990's when we had it in Chandler, Arizona.  In 1990 we still had 3 sister and Uncle Clarence alive.  By 2010, Uncle Clarence is the last of the Ramsay family alive. This was trip that my mom wanted all of us to go on.  Mom had to see the cancer doctor on that Tuesday before we were to leave.  We were hoping that the cancer was gone and for now no more Chemo.  But it was not good news, and my mom told use not to tell anyone.  So we packed up and head to Monticello on October 8.  We got there pretty early, so we checked into our room and headed to Moab to see Gracie Eastin.  We ate dinner there, and that was were my sister family was staying, and them le...
