The Candy Bracket

Image
Found this on Facebook the other day and made me think, what would my bracket look like or my friends brackets look like. So lets go to the first round. M&M vs Snickers:  I like both.  My favorite M&M's are the almond ones, but there are so many now.  Same thing with Snicker, there are so many.  If I had to choose a go to, it would be Snickers for the Win! Reese's Cups vs Tootsie Rolls:  I have to admit here, Reese's is probably my favorite of them all.  I am not a big fan of Tootsie Rolls, but I do like the favored ones.  They never have enough Banana ones, and to many vanilla.  So Reese's for the win! Caramels vs Bit-O-Honey:  Caramels are the favorite for Halloween time.  Have not had Bit-O-Honey a lot.  So Caramels for the Win! Candy Apples vs Payday Bar:  Caramel and Apples, ok.  But I find it a way to get you to eat more fruit.  Payday's have caramel and nuts.  Payday for the win! Skit...

What will the Future Hold?

As I sit here in the rehab center, my thoughts are what happens when I get out.  I have to make a lot of life changes.  A lot I knew I need to change before I got sick, but there are some unanswered as well. The one that is unanswered at this time is oxygen.  Do I have to go home still using oxygen, and will it be for the rest of my life.  I am to young to be tired to an oxygen tank.  I have a lot I still want to do, and if I had the oxygen, I would not be able to do them, like go to Germany.  It does not seem like they are trying to whine me off it. So I don't know. I really worry about work and paying my bills.  On May 9, with the help of my dad and the hospital, I filed for Family Leave.  But my work has still not processed it yet.  Also with work, there was a week, were my phone did not work and I was so out of it, that I did not call in sick, even though my supervisor knows I was in the hospital.  But work marked me as a No Sho...

My Favorite Part of the Day

Image
I guess my favorite time of day is lunch or dinner.  On the weekends, my days off, I spend a little bit more money and buy food that I don't normally eat during the week.  Some of you are saying OK, but why get Pete's.  It really is not the best food in the world, and I have never ever been a fan of there fish.  But this is comfort food for me.  Something I have eaten since I was 9 or 10.  I have always gotten a Mosterburger or  Chicken Nuggets, or sometimes both.  Sometimes it is just corn dog with Frings (Onion rings and Fries). But I can not wait to eat lunch or dinner on the weekends because I know I will be eating something good.

Some Times the Local Places are the Best Places to Eat!

As I as surfing Facebook, I came across a post from a friend, who's daughter is in Seattle for a few days. She showed a picture of her food order from a place called Dick's.  I got to eat at Dick's last year, when I went on vacation with Del Mar and his family.  Dick's was good, and I do have to admit, that if I lived there I would eat there a lot.  But this got me thinking of Places that I eat at, that are not the big national chains, and when I travel this aresome of the best places to eat at.  These are not fancy places most of the time either, but the places were the locals eat at every day.  I will start with some places that are local. Here in Mesa and the valley of the sun, we have a few, but these are some what my favorite. I have to start this list out with Ned's Krazy Sub.  I have been eating at Ned's since they were located across the street from Reed Park.  Ned's does not do anything different than most, but I guess it is the fres...
